Select Products on ClickBank

June 7, 2019 By Sheldon Leave a Comment

When you are ready to select products on ClickBank, For your convenience, ClickBank has sorted their products by categories (niches). Pay attention to a parameter called ‘gravity’ for each product you’re looking at.

select products on clickbank

Select products on ClickBank with a gravity of between 20 to 100, which means a reasonable amount of affiliates are promoting and have successfully sold those products.

If you select products on ClickBank with a very high gravity, they are obviously very popular for a certain period, but let’s avoid them if you’re just getting started.

Next, let’s research the product on Google before promoting it.

I recommend researching it on Google, then buy the product and use it yourself.  And if it’s a good fit, then promote it as an affiliate.

After you select products on ClickBank, you can do a quick Google search using these steps.

Simply type these keywords into the Google search box: product name + review product name + scam.

You want to look for any genuine reviews, and not just some affiliate regurgitating what’s on the vendor’s sales page.

Not finding a useful product review? Do a search on the product creator, or the authority figure/expert that you see in the product sales letter.

See if you can find good stuff about these people online.

A quick example here:

One of the top products in the e-Marketing niche in Clickbank is the Super Affiliate System 2.0 by John Crestani.

If you do a Google search on his product, you will find some good detailed reviews.

More importantly, if you do a search on him, you’ll know that he is an internationally-renowned expert in affiliate marketing.

It would be great if every vendor was this accomplished, so do a proper search on the product and the creator.

Besides Google search, as you analyze the results, you will find more than you need to know about John and his products.

Product Research

June 5, 2019 By Sheldon Leave a Comment

If you are just getting started with product research, and do not have a product right now, the next best thing is to promote someone else’s product.

product research

This is commonly called affiliate marketing, where you earn a commission whenever someone buys from the vendor you’re promoting for.

You have probably heard all kinds of good and bad things about affiliate marketing.

So let me remind you of the 3 important truths that you must remember.

1. Affiliate marketing is the FASTEST WAY for internet marketing newbies to get started. There are no product creation concerns and most of the selling are done by the vendors you’re promoting for.

2. It is BEST to promote a product which you have used (and liked it) yourself. You’d be able to sell it better, because you believe in it.

3. NEVER promote a crappy product just because the money is good. Because you’d want to do business with integrity… and we all know that karma’s a bitch.

Alrighty then, where do you start product research if you’re new to affiliate marketing?

Amazon

You can sign up for Amazon’s affiliate program and start promoting products of your niche on your website or blog.

Amazon is one of the biggest and most reputable names online, you are instantly associating yourself with the big brand (and its credibility) when you promote Amazon products.

When doing product research, make sure you check out the reviews.

This will help you find out what the customers loved (and hated) the most about it, and how the product helped in solving their pains (or achieving their aspirations).

However, as the commissions from Amazon products are pretty low (average of 4% – 6%), they should not be your only affiliate income.

Clickbank

Clickbank is an affiliate network where you can find tons of products from different niches to promote.

It is the best affiliate platform for beginners, simply do your niche product research and promote the product.

You can open a Clickbank affiliate account for free, and you can start promoting any products to earn commissions of up to 75%. There are even products which pay you recurring commissions.

Building Your Customer Avatar

June 5, 2019 By Sheldon Leave a Comment

Building your customer avatar is basically a detailed profile of someone who would need your product or service.

building your customer avatar

Let’s start building your customer avatar and call her Mary.

Be as detailed as you can. Imagine your customer avatar standing right in front of you.

Here are some of the questions that will help you with building your customer avatar.

How old is Mary? Is she single or married? If she’s married, how many kids does she have? And how old are they now?

What does Mary do for a living? How much does she make in a year? Does she drive to work, rides her bike or does she utilize public transportation every day?

What kind of magazines does Mary read? What shows does she watch? Does she go to games? Or does she love hanging out at art galleries or going to the theater?

Is Mary active on social media platforms like Facebook? How much time does she spend on Facebook every day?

Does she read more than she posts, or the other way round? What kind of Facebook pages does she like and follow avidly?

What does Mary do after work every day? Does she work out? Or chill out with her friends? Or just go straight home to have dinner and watch TV with her family?

What problems and frustrations does Mary have right now?

What is the one thing that keeps her awake on most nights? Or causes her to always fight with her husband?

What aspirations does Mary have? Is she aspiring to be promoted? Does she want to start her own business? Is she thinking of becoming a published author?

What is stopping Mary from achieving her dreams? Is it her lack of confidence? Her hectic day job? Her procrastination?

Has Mary been seeking solutions to solve her problem? If she has, how are those solutions working out so far? If she has not, what’s holding her back from looking for solutions?

When you’re done with building your customer avatar, it’s time to move on the next step, product research.

Market Research Find Your Profitable Niche

June 5, 2019 By Sheldon Leave a Comment

Market research, hard to believe that many people actually skip this but not you, because you’re going to learn how to do it properly here.

market research

Let’s think about something that you’re good at, or something you’re really passionate about, it can even be something that you’re spending money on.

Now do a quick check: Is what you’re thinking right now in the Big 4?

The 4 Biggest & Most Profitable Niches

  1. Health and Fitness
  2. Money Making Opportunities (both IM and non Internet Marketing related)
  3. Sex and Relationship
  4. Passion and Hobby

If your niche is NOT in the Big 4, let’s do some market research.

Go to Google and type in your niche keyword + forum. If you see some relevant forums, click in and look at the level of activity.

Let’s use “fitness forums” without the quotes as our example.

market research

As you can see, this is very active with over 32 million results for fitness forums, let’s continue.

Go to Amazon.com/Best-Sellers and type your niche keyword into the search bar. If you see a lot of products and buyer reviews, go to the next step.

market research

Go to Quora.com and type in your niche (fitness) keyword.

market research

Looks like a ton of questions relevant to your keyword, you have found a profitable niche!

Once you’ve decided on your profitable niche (whether it’s in the Big 4 or not), it’s time to “niche down”.

Right now you have the whole market, fitness, and you can’t possibly sell to everyone in the whole market.

market research

If you want to sell to everyone in the whole market, you’ll need some money…and A LOT of luck to be able to zero in on your true target customers who are really looking for what you’re offering.

So, the key is to narrow your niche. Let’s look at our example, the fitness niche.

Decide on who you want to target specifically. Are you going to focus on fitness for men or women? If women, are you targeting teenagers, single ladies, or moms?

If you’re targeting moms, are you targeting stay at home moms or working moms?

Once you’ve decided on a specific niche, (e.g. fitness for working moms), it’s time to come up with your buyer persona, your customer avatar.
