How To Fail Online

June 16, 2019 By Sheldon Leave a Comment

Everyday in every part of the world, millions of people drag themselves out of bed, shower up, grab a cup of joe, and learn how to fail online.

fail online

I’m thinking (and maybe you too) that there has got to be an easier way to make a living.

I know someone who has quit the “9 to 5 grind” and is making a very good living by working on their personal computer from the comfort of his home.

Working from home sounds like an ideal solution to me, and maybe you too.

For some, they quit their jobs and plunge headfirst into internet marketing with no plan.

No idea of what they are doing, no preparation, and no hope of success.

This is how they fail online, and not even realize it.

The fact of the matter is, about 99.9% of all Internet business start-ups fail within the first year.

That’s what happened to me when I first started online, maybe you experienced similar results.

No, I didn’t quit my job, but I figured out how to fail online.

The failure rate is high because people are not serious about working online, like you are at your job.

Success is possible. There IS the 1 out of a thousand attempts that do succeed.

Because success doesn’t happen by accident.

And success isn’t getting lucky. Success happens because of some very important factors.

I’m talking about the struggles and setbacks, from anxiety to self doubt and all the effort to make it work.

No one wakes up today and decides to be an online marketer and then makes money tomorrow.

So don’t believe the “get rich quick” or “the laptop lifestyle” crap.

You should not be impressed with someone’s car, their awesome house and those pretty women, because they are fake.

The person showing selfies on the beach and making it look like they work 1 hour a day, portraying the laptop lifestyle, forgot to tell you they’re working 18 hours a day.

Of course they take an hour off and go to the beach to take selfies lol.

Hook Line and Sinker.

People get into an internet business with the belief that they no longer have to get up and go to work.

They tell themselves:

  • I can simply work when I feel like it and still make a good living.
  • I don’t have to work hard or work long hours.

People think a system, product, or a person is going to make them successful, and this is why they fail online.

The product you’re selling is not the opportunity itself, it’s YOU.

You’re the opportunity and it’s you that will decide if what you do will be successful.

SO….

You need to go all in with one brand or product, and one method of promotion.

I started promoting multiple products when I first started because I thought, hey “multiple streams of income.”

What I learned is that if I couldn’t effectively market one product, how and where to position it in my sales funnel, how to create an irresistible offer…you get the idea.

I asked myself the obvious question after much time and failure.

How will you make these other products work if you can’t even get one to work?

The answer is you can’t because if you’re struggling in these areas, how will you ever learn to improve?

Might I suggest…

Pick one brand to build because you’re one person. Make it a personal brand because people buy from people.

Focus on one product you really like, ideally something you can make recurring income so you’re not working twice as hard to get new sales every month.

Coaching Program

June 8, 2019 By Sheldon Leave a Comment

Are you someone who has thought about starting your own coaching program? How many times have you been interested in something and wanted to learn more about it?

coaching program

With so much information online it’s very easy to do some research and find out how to get started using your talents and expertise to build your own online business.

But, it is not really that simple. And how much can you trust the information out there?

Learning and actually doing something are two different things.

Anyone could take the knowledge and build their business from proven methods, not theories.

Bottom Line:

Whether you’re established or you’re just getting started, this program is for you.

Discover how you can apply your new found knowledge in a real life situations.

This is where a coaching program comes in.

Obviously I can’t cover all the possibilities in this blog post.

So I’m going to outline one strategy that you can certainly begin implementing immediately.

When you create a vision for yourself and your business, everything changes.

You will finally have complete confidence in your abilities of what you will achieve and know what you’re working on will 100% pay off.

Imagine getting up every morning excited, passionate and determined to put in the work, even when things aren’t currently making you money because you know soon it’s all going to pay off.

You actually quit being a “biz opp hopper” and you start thinking like an entrepreneur and building a business.

Now you can’t be swayed to the next “big deal” because what you’re building is the big deal.

It’s a big deal when you realize what other people are doing doesn’t matter, because all you’re focused on is what you’re doing.

Everything changes in your life when you only focus on building you and your business.

Once you truly commit to your plan that is when you switch from being a employee to an entrepreneur.

Compelling Story

June 8, 2019 By Sheldon Leave a Comment

When writing your body copy, it’s important to spend more time crafting a compelling story (the copy that comes right after your headline).

compelling story

In fact, your compelling story is just as important as your headline.

Because if you cannot intrigue or captivate your readers with a compelling story, chances are they will not even skim your sales page, much less to read the whole thing.

On the other hand.

By keeping your readers attention after the headline, they will be motivated to read the next line, or the next paragraph.

And look at your sub headings throughout the page for something that interests them.

In reality, you get a higher chance of pitching your irresistible offer to them.

One way to write a compelling story is to start with a…story.

Now think of the story as a great movie trailer, start with a story that highlights a high point of drama (just like a mind-blowing trailer).

Begin right in the middle of a story.

Then pull your reader further in.

Build up that high point of drama in your compelling story with more riveting action and intriguing details.

Like how the star of your story (or you) discovered the amazing solution that solved a problem that your reader is also experiencing right now.

Main Element of Your Copy

June 7, 2019 By Sheldon Leave a Comment

The main element of your copy usually starts with the MOST IMPORTANT element which is your headline.

main element of your copy

Because without a compelling headline, the rest of your copy is useless, and no matter how good your offer is, your readers will never find out.

But, as the main element of your copy, your headline’s job is NOT to sell.

Instead, it is to grab your reader’s attention and get them to read the very next line. So how do you create an attention-grabbing headline?

You need to talk about the ONE BIG IDEA.

Is it losing weight without exercising? Is it making $100 a day online without prior marketing knowledge?

Also, don’t try to stuff your whole pitch into your headline.

Remember, your headline’s job is NOT to sell. It is to evoke your reader’s desire and arouse their curiosity to make them read on.

Next focus on the dominant emotion of your reader and determine the level of awareness of your reader.

If they are aware of your product, and it can satisfy a desire, then your headline starts with the product.

They are not aware of your product, but aware of their desire, then your headline starts with the desire.

Not really sure what they want, but concerned about a general problem, then your headline starts with that problem and turns it into a specific need.

Finally, determine the hook (angle) to grab your reader’s attention.

Use a direct benefit claim for a product-aware reader like, “Get Six-Pack Abs In Just 2 Weeks Using [Your Product Name]”.

You can highlight a problem for the problem-aware reader like, “Burn Your Belly Fat Without [Dreaded Action/Sacrifice]”.

For your unaware readers, use the element of surprise or curiosity like, “The 55-Year-Old Ex-Manager Who Made $3700 Last Month Just By Doing Something Simple”.

So to recap the main element of your copy is an attention-grabbing headline: One Big Idea + Dominant Emotion + Awareness Level + Hook.

What if you can’t fit all the 4 elements in your main headline?

Use a teaser to address your target audience like, Attention Frustrated Working Moms Who Are Overweight!

Then your main headline. Discover How You Can Lose 15 Pounds Easily in Just 7 Days and Regain Your Gorgeous Figure. Even If You Don’t Have the Time or Energy to Work Out!

Then follow up with something that reinforces the impact of your main headline.

No, it’s NOT another new and improved diet plan but, it’s a super simple 5-minute routine that will help you shed your extra pounds fast!

Persuasive Copywriting

June 7, 2019 By Sheldon Leave a Comment

Persuasive copywriting is an important skill to learn and master if you’re promoting your own product or someone else’s product.

Persuasive copywriting

Persuasive copywriting is a must-learn skill you must focus on the most in order to build, maintain and grow your online business successfully.

Because you are going to need it to sell in your ads, landing pages, sales letters, and emails.

If you’re not going to write your own copy (which means you’ll be outsourcing), you need to learn how to distinguish good copy from bad.

If you’re not willing to learn something new and trying to start your online business, you’re just wasting your time.

Simply put, your words are basically your conversation with your target audience.

When crafting your copy, you must focus on the core desires and emotions of your readers.

Many business owners make the mistake of talking endlessly about their product features and how accomplished they are in their sales copy.

Thus leaving yourself open for your more customer focused competitors.

So instead of talking about yourself and your product, your copy should revolve around your target audience.

Meaning you must focus on their pains and struggles, their dominant emotions, as well as their dreams and aspirations.

With persuasive copywriting, you must put yourself  “in their world”.

Use “their words” to show them how your product or service can end their pains and/or help them achieve their aspirations.

Remember, you can refer to your market research earlier on, where you searched for relevant niches.

This is how you found your target audience and they shared their frustrations or were looking for help.

Of course, be sure to look at the reviews for Amazon, and the questions & answers for Quora.

Pay attention to the words that your target audience are using to describe their aspirations, pains and frustrations.

And use those words in your copy.
