No more beating around the bush! At this point if you’re a complete beginner you probably still don’t know what affiliate marketing is.

I’m not trying to sell you anything, just to get that bit out of the way first!

So, if you’re not a complete beginner and you do know what affiliate marketing is, I’m only doing this so my mom can understand.

But you might miss out on some useful information that could help you later.

Alrighty then, affiliate marketing is a type of online marketing where you will be selling a product or service for a commission.

Just like a door-to-door solicitor, you are selling something that someone else made but for a commission.

There are a few big differences between being an affiliate marketer and being a solicitor.

Big differences that make it far more appealing and potentially profitable.

The best advantage of being an affiliate marketer is that you’ll be selling products online rather than having to do it in person.

This makes it considerably easier if you’re someone who doesn’t have the gift of the gab.

Also consider that you’ll have no overhead and less work to do yourself.

Imagine sitting at home and making commissions by sending out a few e-mails and being active on your favorite social media channel.

What’s more, is that you will be able to reach more people compared with a door-to-door solicitor because the business is far more scalable.

The internet makes it possible for us to reach millions of people and potentially to introduce your product or service to thousands of people every day.

Considering that a solicitor might have a good day if they manage to get some people interested after canvassing a subdivision or two.

You can easily see that affiliate marketing has a far bigger potential for earning.

The difference is like night and day when you work as an internet marketer versus a solicitor.

This alone means that you could potentially increase your revenue and profits, but it goes beyond that.

Because affiliate marketing gives you considerably more profit per sale and more commission.

Depending on what you decide to promote, a typical amount for a product creator to share with affiliates is 50% or higher.

Some programs like Amazon offer a much lower rate for their affiliates, less than 10%. That means a lot of sales.

Products can be found for a range of prices too.

If you’re selling a digital product then you can expect to make anything up to $97 for a sale.

High ticket online courses and programs can go for a lot more, sometimes as much as several thousand dollars.

Better yet, if you can sell a membership to Clickfunnels for example, you can get a monthly commission from that member for the lifetime of their membership!

All you have to do then is to talk about the product on your favorite site.

Which simply means posting comments in Facebook groups or sending e-mails.

And you have a potential commission every time someone checks it out.

Ever seen those videos of people claiming they make money simply by clicking a mouse button 7 times? If so, is affiliate marketing for me?

It’s highly unlikely that you will make any money right away, and as a general rule, it will involve a lot more work than “clicking your mouse button” – particularly to begin with!

Still, there is truth in the claim that you can earn money while doing very little with affiliate marketing.

It’s been suggested that affiliate marketing is really the only legitimate skill you need to learn to accomplish a laptop lifestyle.

Affiliate marketing is simply the very easiest way for a beginner to get set up with a income-producing business model that provides passive income that does not have you exchanging your time for money.

In other words, working at your day job requires you to be there in order for you to get paid for your time.

While affiliate marketing can be something that lets you earn cash while you’re asleep.

So…is affiliate marketing for me?

You need to approach this wisely in your decision on what program to go with, and once that’s done, it will be automated.

All that’s left for you to do is to generate traffic.

Does this mean signing up to one of those slick sales ads you have probably seen on Facebook? Heck no!

Whenever you see an ad like this, simply ask yourself, what’s in it for them?

If they are offering to show you how earn money like them, you need to wonder why they need you at all.

Most likely, they’re seeking out people like you as “affiliates” and if you promote their offers, they will “share the revenue” with you.

This is really not the best way to make money online and you should avoid it like Covid-19!

Another possibility is they want to sell you a very expensive course or make you sign up to some kind of expensive program.

Either of which will benefit you less than it will benefit them.

The first red flag you encounter with these type of programs is the lack of information.

“Make money by clicking your mouse button” is very vague and it’s a rather big promise.

It’s missing the details as to how this would work for you and there is no mention of affiliate marketing.

In the above scenario, the people selling the course and program have the advantage of information over you.

A much better strategy for you is to learn the basics of affiliate marketing yourself so that you can create your own business model that suits you.

  • Discover how it works.
  • Discover what the best techniques are for ensuring your success.

Getting a mentor and joining a community of like minded people all working towards the same goals will hold you accountable and push you to play ALL OUT in your life and business.

  • You Need A Daily Plan To Follow To Get Results.

When you have a daily action plan, it’s nearly impossible to fail. When you don’t have a plan, you’re planning to fail.

You will find things to fill your time and spend all of your time consuming more information instead of focusing on income producing activities.

Create a daily plan and be diligent, it will bring you closer to your goals.

Some people treat their online business like a hobby, which is ok for now.

But if you’re serious about building a business, you have to look at it like a job, but you’re the BOSS.

People think that once we leave a job it’s complete freedom, but the reality is a business is just like a job, but the difference is you’re building your own dream.

You can’t expect to just work a little and make money in the beginning. In fact, you should always be working just like someone is right behind you ready to take it all away.

This is why some marketers do well, then their business flatlines. They get comfortable, start taking month long vacations, buy expensive cars and let their business slip.

If you want your business to grow (especially at the start) you need to create a disciplined daily routine and work that plan consistently every single day.

My daily plan looks like this:

– Wake up and read to get pumped and excited, or listen to motivational audios.

– Head out for my morning walk.

– Write blog post or email that will help my audience.

– Get active on Facebook.

– Write and send email to list.

– End day with improving copywriting, business and personal development skills.

– Repeat every single day of the week.

Train yourself to enjoy the process, learn to love the journey and learn to discipline yourself to get the tasks done.

If you’re employed, a disciplined schedule is more important than if you’re a full time marketer.

Avoid wasting your time being on Facebook, watching TV or YouTube videos.

If you’re in a job where your time is your most precious asset, you must spend that time wisely.

If you waste time, it’s only going to keep you in that job longer.

You’re starting to make an excuse in your head right now, aren’t you?

Stop it right now and understand that the choices you make now might hold you back and keep you broke.

I hate doing it too. I hate getting up early before work and spending a couple hours working on my online business.

Then going to work for 10 hours and coming home tired and still working on my business until late.

Man, I hate doing the same things every single day because when I got into this business, I had some screwed up fantasy.

You know what I mean, don’t you? When I first got started, I believe what the slick sales pages said and I was going to get rich doing nothing!

Of course, later on I realized this business is a job, but I’m the boss.

Create a daily plan and be diligent, it will bring you closer to your goals.
