Stop Buying the Next Greatest Thing

December 4, 2021 By Sheldon Leave a Comment

At some point in your online business building process, you have to STOP BUYING THE NEXT GREATEST THING!

stop buying the next greatest thing

Every day, you will always be looking for ways to improve your business and your bottom line.

And buying everything you see is not the way to build a business.

It won’t solve your problem of not making money online.

There are two main reasons why 99% of the people who start an online business fail to make any money at all.

The first reason is that they don’t actually work at it.

If you really want this to be true, then convince yourself that there are ways to start an online business for less than $10, do absolutely nothing with it and make thousands your first day.

All you have to do is search Google for opportunities, and the promises of fast, easy riches will soon fill your screen.

I have no real answers for those of you who think this way, but I will say this…

Time and money will eventually teach you that it will never work this way.

Time To Stop Buying The Next Greatest Thing.

Until you learn that lesson, you will almost certainly fail.

The second reason why people fail to make any money, and the subject of this post, is believing that there really is a magic bullet, that one product or service that makes it possible to start making money right now.

The problem with this is that it takes your attention and efforts off actual income producing activities.

Like building your email list and establishing trust with them, and puts it toward something else.

In a recent experiment, I played a hypothetical game to see what’s possible.

I decided to join the “Next Greatest Thing” and was going to make it work.

This opportunity promised “18 streams of income,” and offered a start up of zero cost. Sounds good, right?

18 programs

Wait a minute, something ain’t right.

These 18 streams of income are all actually affiliate programs of one sort or another, and you make money with each of them by referring others to join.

Each one is a business of its own, requiring its own efforts from you.

Furthermore, in order to get into the paying part of these services, you have to pay something.

No one will pay you job quitting income when there is no cash coming in.

I could have spent upwards of $500 to get myself in position to make some money.

So much for free.

I went to another opportunity, where all I had to do was sign up, get my own genuine replicated website, and then simply drive traffic to it.

No problem. Just get people to visit my site. How hard can that be?

That landed me exactly where so many other new Internet marketers find themselves.

Free doesn’t mean free, and finding visitors isn’t as easy as it sounds.

Maybe I just need some tools — software, autoresponder, Facebook group, anything to get some visitors to my site.

It seems everyone has “The Secret Gurus Don’t Want You To Know,” or “The Shocking Truth About Something.”

After reading most of the sales pages, each promising me untold riches for an Incredible Price That Won’t Last Long.

Maybe I could have spent a few dollars and have all my problems solved.

I already had purchased one of the products recently, and I went to check out the numbers.

Closely reviewing the material, there were “recommendations” for other programs that I should get to make it all work as it was designed to work.

Stop Buying the Next Greatest Thing

Do you see what’s happening? Has this happened to you?

You start a business with great intentions, but when the money doesn’t start coming in within an hour, you start spending your money on another tool, which is also another business.

Pretty soon, you are spending all of your time in non income producing activities.

If you had committed as much time working your business as you had looking for ways to build it, you would be much further ahead.

Conclusion: Decide on one program or plan and stick to it.

Don’t get distracted by anything else.

Spend your time and money on building that one business.

Working a single business or product will produce better results than buying the next greatest thing.

Considering a Home Business? Know the Product.

November 28, 2021 By Sheldon Leave a Comment

Considering a home business opportunity today is not always an easy task. Everyone’s website and marketing are designed to highlight the positives and evade the potential negatives.

This picture below is something you should avoid (hopefully)!

“Things you should know when considering a home business.”

The most important thing to consider is if it would stand alone outside of the opportunity.

Premium products are generally considered to be high quality, and they are expensive.

In addition to a product being good, it might not sustain most people in building a business.

If you have no need for the product or could buy something similar for less, you should probably stay away.

Top sales people and marketers can build a business and perhaps enroll you.

But how well will you do until you have skin in the game with the product?

Even being involved in these businesses, I stumble to come up with a good answer when someone mentions the price for the value.

“I do know that it costs so much that the owner is making bank from me selling it.”

Sometimes that does not work very well as an answer, but you can check it out here.

If you won’t use it, or really have no need for it, go to a different niche, regardless of the marketing hype.

Inevitably, you will be asked how you like it, or if you use it, and if you don’t, you are history.

If you lie and say that you do use it, and really love it but don’t, you are also done.

Like the picture above, people can tell that kind of thing.

Find out who the market is for the product, and evaluate the competition for that opportunity.

Today a “weight loss products” search in Google returns 1,670,000,000 results!

Is that the market you want to compete in?

Furthermore, I am not saying that highly competitive niches are bad.

But merely suggesting that you must determine whether or not you want to compete in that niche.

Do a Google search on a specific company and/or products you would be promoting.

Then you see how much competition you have there.

There are searches you can do for specific opportunities that have paid links on the first page.

That is a real great indicator because people are spending money on ads for that opportunity or product.

Since you are considering a home business as a way to make money online.

I suggest you look at my business where the product is the knowledge and training it takes to do just that.

To see how my business does that, and if passes your gut test, look at my marketing site and the company site

Evaluating a Home Business – Things to Learn (Part One)

November 26, 2021 By Sheldon Leave a Comment

Evaluating a home business opportunity you are looking at is not always an easy task. Today’s website and marketing are designed to highlight the positives and evade the potential negatives.

evaluating a home business

This is neither good or bad, it’s just a fact.

After closely reviewing many business opportunities, I developed a checklist of things to know. These are listed below.

  • What to learn about the company.
  • Researching the entire product line.
  • Things to ask about the pay plan.
  • Things to know about the training.

Today’s post will cover the first one listed above.

Evaluating a home business starts now.

First, before you do anything else, find out about the company itself.

As a matter of fact, the quickest way to do this is to Google “the company name” or “the company name scam.”

With any opportunity, there will be someone who paid their money, but did no actual work, and then wrote about how they were ripped off, so take criticism with a grain of salt.

However, if the same things come up repeatedly from different people, take that as a sign that all is not well.

“Evaluating a home business is simple.”

Secondly, go directly to the company website to find out what you can about the owners, principals, and CEO.

How long a company has been in business is certainly a consideration, but every large company was once a small one, and the people who started when it was small generally are hauling in the biggest bucks.

The important things here are that the website tell you who the principals are, and that you can find information about them on the web.

If there is any doubt in your mind that these people are not of impeccable character, stay away.

Also, be wary of any company that will not offer this information prominently on their website.

3. If you cannot learn the name of the company and their basic business on the landing page of their website or their about us page, leave them alone.

There is an obvious reason why one biz opp didn’t put out that information up front.

Just out of curiosity, it took a few pages before I could had any clue what the business is about.

If your telephone number is required in order to get further information, you might get caught up in the flashy, scripted sales talk.

Finally, avoid any business that wants you to pay for information.

I was once told that I needed to pay $17 (trip wire) just to find out what the product was.

Once you’re done evaluating a home business with no red flags, you are ready to proceed to the next step.

If you have gotten this far, and your gut instinct is saying “watch out,” I suggest you do.

To see one business that passed my test, look at both the marketing site and the company site.

Why Joining Someone is Better Than Joining a Business

November 25, 2021 By Sheldon Leave a Comment

How is joining someone better than joining a business when there are so many programs available online where someone is making some money. Not to mention that most people joining these MMO niches don’t realize if it was the program that mattered, everyone would be successful.

joining someone

If you were a gambling person looking for that sure bet.

It would be if someone who joined a program would be successful at that program, you would win 99% of the time if you bet “no.”

So, how does someone increase their odds? The simple answer is to join a person first, and a business second.

Businesses are impersonal. They have no feelings, make no decisions, and do no real work.

People however are more social. They work, they share, and they experience both highs and lows.

The reality is that if someone joins a business first, with no real relationship to anyone, they are literally on their own to learn it and figure it out.

But by joining someone first and not the business, they have effectively lessened their learning curve.

Two heads are better than one, as the saying goes.

Furthermore, a person’s chances of success are increased even more if they actually join with the right person.

The “right” person for one business is not necessarily the right person for another.

For example, I myself would be the wrong person for anyone to join a health and wellness business with.

That’s not me making a statement about the health and wellness business as a whole.

That’s me, I’m just not interested in it, and if you joined with me in one, my lack of enthusiasm would show.

So what makes the “right” person? I think there are four things that you should look at.

1. Someone who is not so busy with their business that can give you personal attention when you need it.

Check out his Facebook group and request to join here

2. The right person will be passionate and committed to the particular business you are looking at. No one wants to join a business and then pitched another “biz opp” before you even get off the ground.

3. Someone who has some kind of duplicatable system that you can model.

By that, I don’t mean you get a cookie cutter website like everyone else.

I mean someone that can get you a complete system that garners attention, captures leads, and follows up for YOU and not for the company.

Currently, you can see my system here by subscribing for some free training.

4. Someone who has accomplished what you are looking to do with your online business.

That might be affiliate marketing, mlm or whatever.

You want to be successful?

Find someone who is successfully doing the business that you want to start.

And find a system you can can model to build your business that helps the people you bring in also.

Like anything in life the more time and energy you put towards something, the faster you’ll get it.

However, this does not mean you should feel rushed.

These lessons help train your mind to focus.

And these principals are used by me and others because they have been proven to be most realistic and beneficial.

Watch, read and follow along with the videos from start to finish.

Another key point is taking your own notes.

Doing so will help you understand and avoid trying to recall information from memory.

In my experience, I find it’s best to go through each lesson numerous times.

For example, first focusing on the specifics of the content, pausing the videos at key points.

Secondly, focusing on the implementation of the strategies.

That’s the beauty of these lessons, you can do this one step at a time.

This course is comprehensive in a way that most people aren’t used to seeing.

You will not only learn about yourself, and the mindset that is required to build any business.
