At some point in your online business building process, you have to STOP BUYING THE NEXT GREATEST THING!
Every day, you will always be looking for ways to improve your business and your bottom line.
And buying everything you see is not the way to build a business.
It won’t solve your problem of not making money online.
There are two main reasons why 99% of the people who start an online business fail to make any money at all.
The first reason is that they don’t actually work at it.
If you really want this to be true, then convince yourself that there are ways to start an online business for less than $10, do absolutely nothing with it and make thousands your first day.
All you have to do is search Google for opportunities, and the promises of fast, easy riches will soon fill your screen.
I have no real answers for those of you who think this way, but I will say this…
Time and money will eventually teach you that it will never work this way.
Time To Stop Buying The Next Greatest Thing.
Until you learn that lesson, you will almost certainly fail.
The second reason why people fail to make any money, and the subject of this post, is believing that there really is a magic bullet, that one product or service that makes it possible to start making money right now.
The problem with this is that it takes your attention and efforts off actual income producing activities.
Like building your email list and establishing trust with them, and puts it toward something else.
In a recent experiment, I played a hypothetical game to see what’s possible.
I decided to join the “Next Greatest Thing” and was going to make it work.
This opportunity promised “18 streams of income,” and offered a start up of zero cost. Sounds good, right?
Wait a minute, something ain’t right.
These 18 streams of income are all actually affiliate programs of one sort or another, and you make money with each of them by referring others to join.
Each one is a business of its own, requiring its own efforts from you.
Furthermore, in order to get into the paying part of these services, you have to pay something.
No one will pay you job quitting income when there is no cash coming in.
I could have spent upwards of $500 to get myself in position to make some money.
So much for free.
I went to another opportunity, where all I had to do was sign up, get my own genuine replicated website, and then simply drive traffic to it.
No problem. Just get people to visit my site. How hard can that be?
That landed me exactly where so many other new Internet marketers find themselves.
Free doesn’t mean free, and finding visitors isn’t as easy as it sounds.
Maybe I just need some tools — software, autoresponder, Facebook group, anything to get some visitors to my site.
It seems everyone has “The Secret Gurus Don’t Want You To Know,” or “The Shocking Truth About Something.”
After reading most of the sales pages, each promising me untold riches for an Incredible Price That Won’t Last Long.
Maybe I could have spent a few dollars and have all my problems solved.
I already had purchased one of the products recently, and I went to check out the numbers.
Closely reviewing the material, there were “recommendations” for other programs that I should get to make it all work as it was designed to work.
Stop Buying the Next Greatest Thing
Do you see what’s happening? Has this happened to you?
You start a business with great intentions, but when the money doesn’t start coming in within an hour, you start spending your money on another tool, which is also another business.
Pretty soon, you are spending all of your time in non income producing activities.
If you had committed as much time working your business as you had looking for ways to build it, you would be much further ahead.
Conclusion: Decide on one program or plan and stick to it.
Don’t get distracted by anything else.
Spend your time and money on building that one business.
Working a single business or product will produce better results than buying the next greatest thing.
